Brahma Stuti

After viewing “Aghasura Moksham”and Lord Sri Krishna taking food together with Gopabalas (cowherds), exchanging not only the food items (Vanabhojanam), but pleasantries also, Brahma wanted to test the “Poorna Brahmam” status of Sri Krishna, perhaps by over estimation of self-power.

Brahma steals the cows and the “Gopabalas” and kept them hidden in Satyaloka. But Krishna takes the form of each cow and every Gopabalaka. This form matches with the original in every aspect that no one misses anything in Gokula and things continue as before. Now Brahma surprisingly finds the cows and Gopabalas kept hidden in Satyaloka are there itself and same are at Gokulam also. Soon Brahma realizes his folly and falls at the feet of Sri Krishna.

A humbled Brahma then sings the praises of Sri Krishna. This is known as “BRAHMA STUTI”.

Srimad Bhagavatham covers this under the fourteenth chapter of Dasama Skandam

The distinctive feature of this Stuti is that, it is full of “ADVAITHA SHASTRA SAARAM

Brahma Says – “Oh Lord, you are the only worshipped Lord and so I am pleased to offer my prayers to you. Your ‘Roopa-Lavanyam’ is unique. You stand beautifully with a morsel of food on hand amidst cowherds. Now my mind stands completely withdrawn from material things.”

“Devotional service to you is the best path for Self-Realization. Non-Devotees cannot realize you in your full personal features. I tried to test your Power by extending my Illusory Potency. What am I compared to you!! My eyes are blinded due to darkness of ignorance. Please consider me as your servant. Your glory is unlimited.”

“In this Incarnation you have proved that you are the Supreme Controller of MAYA. You are the absolute truth. You are eternal perfect and complete. You are the NECTAR of IMMORTALITY. A pure devotee can understand your personality as Supreme. But a non-devotee cannot understand you, though they continue to study Vedas for many years.”

“Please BLESS me to be born in the midst of calves and cowherds in Gokulam. The Vrajavasis are immensely blessed to have you as their ‘MITHRAM’ (friend). Actually, you are the knower and seer of all things. "

"Oh! Krishna, I will ever remain as your devotee and keep praying you throughout the ‘Kalpam’”.

Pray to Sri Krishna – Each Day Every Day !!
